BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN - DESCRIPTION

We provide flexible work schedules for those pursuing higher education, fostering a partnership between Imagine and an ABA Master’s program of your choice!  Imagine has a fully developed supervision program to prepare you to become an incredible BCBA. We incorporate your classroom learning into the clinical setting to provide an engaging and optimal learning environment, including:

  • Initial and ongoing ABA training

  • Supervised field work

  • Direct and indirect BCBA supervision hours specific to preference assessments, skill acquisition assessments, evidence-based constructional methodology, functional behavior assessments, function based treatment, and more!  

 

We offer competitive pay based on experience and education, as well as a $2.50 shift differential for Saturday hours.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in psychology, education, social work, or a related field

  • Relevant experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities preferred

  • Reliable vehicle and current car insurance

  • Available to work at least 10 hours/week

  • Able to pass background check and obtain certification according to Chapter 18.19 RCW

 

Job Duties:

  • Implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.

  • Maintain knowledge of current status of client’s goals and recommendations.

  • Record daily data towards goals’ progression.

  • Review data with Behavioral Specialist weekly to ensure services provided are correct and recording data is accurate.

  • Maintain an accurate record of services delivered, time worked, and mileage/expenses incurred.

  • Create and maintain rapport with clients and families, model current behavior strategies and interventions

Hours and Expectations:

  • New Behavior Technicians receive 60+ paid hours of required ABA training, provided by Imagine, in order to obtain your state license. All state license fees are covered by Imagine.

  • The Behavior Technician position is a part time position.

  • Behavior Technicians typically work 15-25 hours per week, with room to grow to 31+ hours as available.
